"Which treatment is right for me?"

Choose osteopathy for a manual therapy - focused visit, choose athletic therapy for a movement - focused visit, keeping in mind that both treatments generally involve at least a little of both. I tailor my treatments to suit what you are looking for and how I feel I can be most effective for you at the time of your visit, staying within the scope of the treatment you have selected.

Sometimes private insurance plans cover one or the other, so best to double check what's covered under your plan before booking if you intend to submit your receipt for reimbursement.

Fees

Initial visit:   a little over an hour  $130 (gst included)

Follow up:   about an hour         $125* (gst included)

*As of October 1st, 2024.

Payment can be made by etransfer, cash, or cheque. You will be emailed a receipt which you may submit to your insurance provider if you have coverage for osteopathy or athletic therapy.

For clients who have open injury claims through MPI or the WCB, a portion of the athletic therapy treatment fee will be directly billed through your claim.

How often should I come?

That depends of course, and is ultimately up to you.

Short answer:

For a current issue that is interfering with your day-to-day functioning, I'd suggest 2 - 6 visits, spaced every 1-3 weeks. This both builds the momentum of treatment and allows time for integration between sessions. For more of a general "tune-up"/ taking care of mild concerns as they pop up (life happens!) I'd suggest 1-2 visits, 2-3 times a year.

  • comfortable clothing you can move in and I can palpate through (i.e. gym shorts or stretchy bottoms, tank top or loose t-shirt)

    • It is helpful to be able to observe/ palpate your spine and belly. Sometimes I may ask you to shift your clothing to allow assessment of these areas. We will always work at your comfort level.

  • imaging reports, if any (MRI, x-rays, etc)

  • insoles or orthotics if you use them

  • MPI or WCB claim numbers if applicable
